Dennis James "DF" Fanning, 55, of Idaho Falls, died July 1, 2011 at his home of heart failure. He was born January 23, 1956, in Idaho Falls. He was adopted by James Albert Fanning and Glen Mae Crabtree Fanning. He attended Idaho Falls and Skyline High School and graduated in 1975. He also attended Eastern Idaho Technical College. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. On November 7, 1992, he married LeeAnn McGary in Idaho Falls. His favorite hobby was riding motorcycles and the computer. He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Fanning of Idaho Falls; Son, Garrett Fanning of Chubbuck, ID; Daughter, Meri Fanning of Blackfoot; Brother, Ray Edward Fanning of Missoula, Montana; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Glen. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, ID.
