Dennis Terrel Potter, 80, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at his home. He was under the care of Mission Home Health and Hospice of Idaho Falls.

Dennis was born on October 29, 1944, to Elbert Potter and Toni Maeyama Potter in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in California, Japan, and Guam. He graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1962. He received an associate degree from Southwestern College and had a full apprenticeship from North Island Naval Air Station.

On December 4, 1964, he married Catherine Lane in National City, California. They made their home in California and New Zealand before finally settling in Idaho.

He was a born-again Christian. While living in New Zealand, he led a team of ten to work in Malaysia. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, target shooting, and Nascar. He loved and served his Lord Jesus Christ and always took care of his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Catherine Potter of Rigby, Idaho; his son, Nathan Potter of Rigby, Idaho; his daughter-in-law, Ana Potter of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and two grandsons: Phillip and Quenten. He was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Blaine Potter.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at CrossPoint Community Church, 1900 Grandview, Idaho Falls. Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
