She was born September 11, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Andrew Anderson and Viola Hurler Anderson. She grew up in Salt Lake City.

On September 1, 1956, she married Harvey Edwin Gord in Ely, Nevada.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She enjoyed giving candy at Halloween at the zoo with the Citizens Watch, camping, fishing, gardening, skiing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mom is the wind under our wings, the light in our lives, the sunshine on a cloudy day; we miss and love you, mother.

She is survived by the following: husband, Harvey E. Gord of Idaho Falls; daughter, Christy Marie (Alan) Frisby of Midway, Utah; son, Wade Dwayne Gord of Idaho Falls; daughter, Teresa Lynn (Brian) Burns of Rigby; sister, Ilene (Del) Stokes of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Loralee (Wayne) McBride of Green River, Wyoming; sister, Colleen Anderson of Murray, Utah; brother, Ralph Anderson of Spring, Texas; grandchildren: Jared and Cody Frisby, Gary and Brad Burns, and Kayla Gord; and great-grandchildren: Lilly, Kreed, and Guage Burns.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Darlyl Jean Tesch.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2008, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
