Lundblade
June 28, 1919 – September 19, 2006
He was born June 28, 1919, in Idaho Falls to Arthur Warner and Agnes Faye Fullenwider Lundblade. He grew up and attended schools in the New Sweden area, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He attended the University of Idaho in Moscow for one year.
He married Rayola Jones on July 12, 1943 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Don farmed in Oakland Valley from age 17-40, and was a machinist for Oden Motor until retirement at age 62. Don also ranched in the Teton Valley from 1960 to 2002.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as the Explorer Leader for 25 years.
When Don was young he was a member of the BPOE Elks. He was also a member of the Bonneville Sportsman Association, active in the school PTA, and the Bonneville Association of Retarded Children.
His hobbies included music, bowling, hunting, fishing, and Scouting, and everything else because to Don everything was a hobby and everything was fun.
Survivors include his two sons; Ronald W. Lundblade (Patricia) of Idaho Falls, and John Warner Lundblade (Lorie) of Idaho Falls; two daughters, Deloris Poer (Jack) of Ammon, and Rita Renee' Lundblade of Ammon; 14 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert C. Lundblade of Idaho Falls; and a sister, Helen L. Davis of Idaho Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rayola, his father Arthur W. Lundblade, his mother Agnes Faye Lundblade, a brother Arthur Wayne Lundblade, and a sister Afton Calahan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006, at the Lincoln LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 3700 E. Lincoln Rd., Idaho Falls, with Bishop Kent Gauchay officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22nd from 6-8p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
