She was born March 18, 1937 in Wheaton, Minnesota, to Henry Leo Stephens and Anna Louise Laqua Stephens. She grew up and attended school in Wheaton. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1955.

On May 11, 1957, she married William "Bill" G. Kelly in Wheaton, Minnesota, and later moved to Idaho Falls. She attended Eastern Idaho Technical College.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She had been active in the Eagles Club.

She enjoyed sewing and camping. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to spend time with her granddaughter, Amanda Kelly.

She is survived by the following: husband, Bill G. Kelly of Idaho Falls; 2 sons, Timothy S. (Lisa) Kelly of Idaho Falls, and Scott R. (Kathy) Kelly of Idaho Falls; 3 sisters, Dottie Wiese of Pipestone, Minnesota, Isabelle (Larry) of Idaho Falls, Ardel (Don) Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 2 brothers, Don Stephens of Idaho Falls, and Jerry (Joyce) Stephens of St. Petersburg, Florida; and by 1 granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers; Richard, Floyd and Kenneth Stephens.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Christ the King Catholic Church, at the corner of 17th Street and Woodruff, with Rev. Joseph F. McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
