Donato Patiño Perez, 83, of Idaho Falls, Passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.

Donato was born on November 30, 1938, in Llano Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico to Demesio Patiño and Lidia Perez. He grew up in Llano Grande.

In 1960, he married Marcelina Cervantes De Patiño. To this union, 6 children were born: Felixitas, Andres, Rogelio, Raul, Rebecca, and Cesar. Marcelina passed away on June 30, 2015. Donato lived in Mexico, Chicago, Kaysville, and Idaho Falls.

He was a member of the Catholic church. He was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his daughters: Felixitas Patiño (Alfredo) De Carreno of Llano Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico and Rebeca Patiño Cervantes (Ruben Patińo Rodriguez) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sons: Andres Patiño Cervantes (Ma Guadalupe Patiño) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Rogelio Patiño Cervantes (Clemencia Rodriguez) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Raul Patiño Cervantes (Maria de Los Angeles Rodriguez) of Logan, Utah; 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelina Cervantes De Patiño, and his son Cesar Patiño.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Christ the King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th ST., Idaho Falls with Father Mark Uhlenkott officiating. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., with a visitation immediately following until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
