She was born November 16, 1926, in Sugar City, Idaho, to Albert Huskinson and Harriet Howells Huskinson. She was 1 of 5 children. She grew up and attended school in Sugar City.

On March 16, 1945, she married Theodore Lynn Ricks in the Logan LDS Temple. Following the war, they moved to Ephrata, Washington, in 1948. She worked as a licensed dietician in the Ephrata Hospital and served many meals as well as people. In 2003, she moved to Idaho Falls where she was a resident of Good Samaritan Center.

She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was proud of her service in the Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School and in the temple.

She enjoyed cooking, and cooking some more.

She is survived by 2 sons: Bruce (Jeanie) Ricks of Sunnyside, Washington, and Barry Ricks of Moses Lake, Washington; 2 sisters: Ardell (Vance) Ricks of Twin Falls, and Carol Hopkins of Rexburg; 6 grandchildren and a soon-to-be great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away January 14, 1994; a sister, Iola Stone; a brother, Larry Huskinson; and a grandson, Scott Kelly Ricks.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls with Bishop Blaine Eborn of the Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward conducting. The family will meet with friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the services. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
