She was born November 14, 1947, in Riverton, Wyoming, to William Arthur Sr. and Mary Elsie Blackburn. She grew up on the Wind River Indian Reservation. She attended St. Stephen Indian School.
In 1967, she married Arthur Manzanares Sr. in Lander, Wyoming. She also lived in Anadar Ko, Oklahoma, and Idaho Falls before moving to Lodge Pole.
She was a Christian.
She enjoyed cooking and native American cultural activities.
She is survived by the following: daughter, Wanita (Refugio) Garza of Idaho Falls; sons: William (Patricia) Manzanares and Anthony (Laura) Manzanares both of Idaho Falls; and Jessie Bart Manzanares; sisters: Cassie (Virgil) Oldman and Elizabeth (Paul) Duran both of Riverton, Wyoming; Lois (Rusty) Arthur and Julia (Tony) Apodaca both of Idaho Falls; and Ruth Sanchez of Ogden, Utah; brothers: William Arthur Jr. of Casper, Wyoming; and Darrell (Doris) Arthur of Toppenish, Washington; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Manzanares Jr., 2 sisters, Alese Stewart and Syrene Arthur; 3 brothers, Melvin Arthur, George Arthur and Allen James Arthur.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Coltrin Mortuary. 2100 First St., Idaho Falls with Pastor Taro Golden officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9-11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
