Doris Charlene Fish Hendricks, 92, of Ammon, died August 9, 2011, at her son's home in Ammon. She was born June 8, 1919 in Cody, Wyoming, to Glen Cecil Fish Sr. and Maude Ester Stevenson Fish. She grew up in Cody and graduated from Cody High School in 1937. She was a self taught seamstress and worked for LeVines, a dress shop in Idaho Falls for a many years. On August 25, 1937, she married Felix Mason "Max" Hendricks in Pocatello, Idaho. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 14, 1961. Max passed away on May 25, 1987. Max and Doris lived in Mountain Home, Nevada; Bingham Canyon, Utah; Fresno, California; San Jasento, Nevada; and Twin Falls before moving to Idaho Falls. Doris was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, as a visiting teacher, and an enrichment leader. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and playing cards with her ladies card club. Doris loved her family, people, and flowers. Doris is survived by the following: sons: Harland R. (Beverly) Hendricks of Ammon, Idaho; Douglas K. (Shirley) Hendricks of Taylorsville, Utah; Robert B. (Kim) Hendricks of Draper, Utah; sisters: Bernadine Alvey and Betty Gonnion both of Cody, Wyoming; and Audrey (John) McClure of Portland, Oregon; brother, Glen Cecil (Betty) Fish Jr. of Cody, Wyoming; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Mason "Max" Hendricks, a sister, Louise Jackson, and a brother, Harland Fish. Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Monday, August 15, 2011, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls with Jared Hendricks officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
