Obituary

Doris Anne Wells, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Lincoln Court.  She was under the care of Encompass Home Health and Hospice. Doris passed peacefully and was surrounded by her loving family.

Doris was born on November 2, 1937, in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Edd and Eleanor Dingman. She grew up in Klamath Falls. Her family moved to Idaho Falls where she attended and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1955. She then went on to attend Glenn E Clark Business College in Idaho Falls.

She married Charles R Kodis and together had two daughters; Lori and Pam. Doris later married Ellis Franklin Wells in the Idaho Falls temple.  Doris and Ellis were married for 36 years and enjoyed spending the winters in Quartzite, Arizona.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as the ward choir director and especially loved serving at the Temple in Idaho Falls. Doris also enjoyed singing in the singles choir in her church. Her hobbies included toll painting, camping, sewing, piano, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughters: Lori (Kendall) Willmore and Pam (James) Barnes, both of Idaho Falls. Her brother Frank Dingman: 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Jill Barnhart; her husband, Ellis Wells; and her parents, Edd and Eleanore Dingman.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Moreland Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2017, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
