Dorothy Geraldine Lowe Beyer passed away peacefully at her home in Garfield, Idaho, on January 7, 2006.
Dorothy was born in Ucon, Idaho, November 18, 1918, to Ira and Rita (Provincial) Lowe. The family moved to York, Idaho, and Dorothy graduated from the York school. Dorothy worked at the Sacred Heart Hospital for several years.
On September 15, 1947, she married Henry Herman Beyer in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Her husband, Henry; her parents; her sister, Dolly; and her brother, Howard, preceded her in death.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Marjorie Pearl Jenkins; children, Patrick Beyer, and Judy (Schluter) Ennis and their families; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many more family members and friends who meant a lot to her.
Dorothy had many interests and enjoyed outdoor activities including camping with her husband and children, bowling, crocheting and knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved animals, especially her dogs and cats. Family that loved her always surrounded Dorothy. She will be remembered as one who always had a kind word for all. The ladies from Hands of Hope Hospice were especially comforting to her. Dorothy was a member of the Holy Rosary catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
A visitation will be at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St, Idaho Falls from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006, with Graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at the Annis-Little Butte cemetery. A reception will follow the services at the family home in Garfield.
