Obituary

Dorothy Ruth Bell Kilpatrick, 92, of Idaho Falls passed on September 3, 2006, at Life Care Center of cause's incident to age.

She was born 8 Sept., 1913, in Larned, Kansas, the oldest child of Joseph Nicholas and Emma Mae Crow Bell. She attended elementary school in Larned and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After completing high school, at Flandreau, South Dakota, she took nurses training at Denver General Hospital. She worked in several doctor's offices, for a telephone company and the U.S. Forest Service.

When her family moved to Idaho she came with them. She married Dale Wilford; they later divorced. She married Clifton Kilpatrick on Jan. 1, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Since Dorothy was never blessed with children, her nieces and nephews were a special part of her life.

Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, gardening, walking, reading, and raising canaries and dogs. She enjoyed her many friends and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph (LaRue) Bell of Idaho Falls; nieces, Lauri (Cloyd) Jones of Idaho Falls and Peggy (Craig) Berrett of Kaysville, Utah; nephews, Craig (Ann) Bell of Missoula, Montana, and Lloyd (Annette) Bell of Beaverton, Oregon.

She was preceded in death her parents; her husband, Clifton; a brother, Thomas, and a sister, Audrey.

Services will be in the Idaho Falls LDS 18th Ward Chapel at 1200 Dunbar Dr., on September 9th, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Frank Johnston officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, ID.
