Obituary

Dorothy Dale Little, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away at home Monday, May 16, 2016, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 1, 1934, in Drummond, Idaho, to Dale and Mildred Browning Bailey. She grew up in Drummond and St. Anthony, Idaho. She graduated South Fremont High School.

On October 20, 1971, she married Albert "Al" G. Little in Idaho Falls and they spent 44 wonderful years together.

Dorothy enjoyed fishing, camping, sewing and spending time in Island Park at their cabin.  The following verse by an unknown author summarizes our mom's feelings: " My little cabin in the woods each moment here feels so good, Time to reflect and ponder the days peace for the soul, too many ways, Away from the noise of everyday living my little cabin to me is giving, Give me these days of gentle wonder to relax and escape all the thunder, Time here is always so well spent but I often wonder where it went."

She is survived by the following: Husband, Al Little of Idaho Falls; daughters: Charisse Arnold (Scott) Smith and Cindy Arnold (Brent) Strong both of Idaho Falls; Chris Arnold (Mark) Evans of Chubbuck, Idaho; step-daughters: Kim Little of Idaho Falls and Karla Little (Gary) Spjut of Woodbridge, Virginia; step-son, Troy (Holly) of Cedar City, Utah; sisters: Elizabeth Howard of Boise, Idaho, Jane Webster and Virginia (Mike) Fairless both of Idaho Falls; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jake Smith.

A private family graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's name to the Good Samaritan Society Assisted Living Facility, 840 E. Elva St., Idaho Falls, ID 83401.

The family expresses their heart felt appreciation for the care of Dorothy to Dr. R.K. Arbon, Dr. Brad Stoddard, Good Samaritan Society, Aspen Home Health and Hospice.
