Obituary

Douglas Delore Grover 60, of Idaho Falls passed away Thursday August 1, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle of cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 22, 1953 in Idaho Falls Idaho to Clinton & Patsy Grover. He grew up in the Idaho Falls area and attended Idaho Falls High School and Eastern Idaho Technical College. In 1971 he was blessed with his first child Eric Douglas Grover. On May 3, 1980, he married the love of his life Nancy Mathewson. Together they settled and made their home in Idaho Falls. In 1984 their daughter Ashley Lennea Grover was born. Doug was employed with the INL CH2M-WG as a senior decon tech for over 30 years. Doug has always had a passion for Hot Rods. He enjoyed building them and just being around them. He also enjoyed oil painting, camping fishing, attending baseball games and he also enjoyed and was very talented at upholstery work, most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his son Eric (Jessica), his daughter Ashley (Adam) Prophet, a sister Cindy (LaRall) Kent, a brother Michael (Janeil) Grover. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Breanne, Ashley, Whitney, Maegan & Masen Grover, Ciarra & Kameron Walker and Taygen Prophet. He loved his grandkids very much & was so proud of each of them. Doug was preceded in death by his parents Clinton & Pasty Grover, his Mother-in-law Lennea Mathewson, his brother Val Grover and his grandparents, Clifford & Isabelle Grover and Spencer & Ida Covert. We would like to give a huge thank you to all of the amazing doctors that worked so well to take care of Doug. Dr. Schull, Dr. Speirs, Dr. Rahim, Dr. Haderlie, Dr. McAllister Dr. Miller, & Dr. Armour. Also, thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at the Idaho Kidney Center, The Cancer Center and the ICU staff at EIRMC. Funeral Services will be held at Coltrin Mortuary 2100 1st Street Idaho Falls, on Tuesday August 6, 2013 at 11:00am. Family will be visiting with friends and family on Monday August 5, 2013 from 6pm-8pm and also 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the Ammon Cemetery.
