Douglas Paul Winn, 77, of Ucon, Idaho, died Friday, December 17, 2010, at Golden Pine Assisted Living in Rigby, Idaho. He was born Nov. 19, 1933, in Richfield, Utah, to Alton Lafell Winn and Ethel Gardner Winn. He grew up in Monroe, Utah, and in 1951, he graduated from Sevier High School. On May 6, 1953, he married Erma Linda Herrera in Tooele, Utah. They were later divorced. Doug lived in Idaho for the past 40 years where he worked as a construction worker. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. The family would like to especially thank Hospice Alliance for there special care and kindness and for being there during a time of special needs. He is survived by the following: special friend, Jerry Bolinder of Idaho Falls; sons: Douglas "Al" Winn Jr. of Boise, and Donnie Lee Winn of Idaho Falls; a sister, Beth Dalton of Cedar City, Utah; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Monica Lynn Winn; a son, Steven Craig Winn; brothers: Bob, Don, and Stan Winn. Private family services will be held at a later date.
