Doyle J. Fisher, 67, of Idaho Falls, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Doyle was born on November 4, 1949, to Henry Jack Fisher and Vaunda Jones Fisher in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He grew up in the Idaho Falls area and graduated from Skyline High School in 1968.
According to Doyle, he married Karen Sucher on December 1, 1967, however if you ask Karen they were married on December 2, 1967 in Idaho Falls. To this union one daughter and two sons were born.
Doyle and Karen moved to Everett, Washington after high school, where he worked at Boeing. After two years they returned to Idaho Falls and he began working at Argonne, and retired after 33 years. After retirement he enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening. After 47 years of marriage, Karen convinced him to go on their first vacation ever on a Caribbean Cruise.
His favorite thing was his many fishing trips to Alaska with friends. He loved his dogs: Bud 1, Bud 2 and Dog. He was best known for his famous catch saying…DILLIGAF.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Fisher of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his children: Scott Fisher and Melanie Mason both of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Steve Fisher of Inkom, Idaho; his grandchildren: Ethan, Sam, Britton, Gabe, Seth and Hannah; his brother-in-law, Garry Fife; and his mother-in-law, Elda Sucher.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Vaunda Fisher; his sister, Joann Fife; his brother, Randy Fisher.
Private Family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Milo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com .
