Doyle LeRoy Staker Sr., 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 18, 2011, at Safe Haven Nursing Home in Pocatello. He was born January 26, 1938, in Ucon, the son of Verl Leroy Staker and Nellie Bertha Brower. Doyle graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1957. On December 4, 1959, he married Cecile Westover in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a custodian and a dishwasher. During the summers in high school, he worked for the Butikofer brothers in Coltman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived in many wards in Idaho Falls during his married life. He was a member of the Woodruff 3rd Ward for the past 7 months, and a member of the Willow Creek Ward for 20 years. He is survived by the following: wife, Cecile Staker of Idaho Falls; Son, Doyle Staker Jr. of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Susan (Jerry) Elder of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Peggy Pittman of Boise; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and a daughter, Phyllis Marie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2011, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011, and one hour prior to the services, both at the mortuary. Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Military Honor Guard.
