Drew L. Johnson, 76, of Idaho Falls, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Drew was born on October 3, 1940, in Aberdeen, Idaho, to Edna Wride and William Q. Johnson. He grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1960.

He served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in June 1962.

On July 3, 1967, he married LaRee Biggs. They were later divorced. On December 24, 1974, he married Gloria Jean Williams in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Gloria died on March 7, 2015.

Drew worked for the Idaho National Laboratory in the maintenance department. He retired in 2002.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Drew loved to paint in his younger years. He enjoyed attending his granddaughter's soccer games. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He looked forward to family Christmas. It was his favorite holiday and time of year.

He is survived by his sons: Troy Johnson, of Lake Stevens, Washington and Jeremy (Sarah) Johnson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his brother, Bill (Noreen) Johnson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sister, Loretta (John) Porter, of Kirkland, Washington; his grandchildren: Madison Johnson, Bailey Johnson and Noah Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Johnson; his father, William Johnson; his mother, Edna Johnson; his brother, Vaughn Johnson.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward, 395 2nd Street. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2017, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Ammon Cemetery.
