Duane Lee Yost, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home. He was under the care of Solace Hospice.

Duane was born on December 18, 1957, in Ogden, Utah, to Willis Henry and Melba Ann Bell Yost. He was a blessing to his parents who were able to adopt him at birth. He grew up in Idaho Falls where he graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1976. After high school, he went on to Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the California Fresno Mission.

On November 28, 1995, he married Lori Ann Palmer in Idaho Falls. They were later sealed in the Lai'e Hawaii Temple.

Duane enjoyed golfing, aviation, snowmobiling, and boating. He was a member of the Air Show Committee in Idaho Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Lori of Idaho Falls, ID; sons: Travis (Ashley) Yost of Rexburg, ID, Andrew (Megan) Cooper of Shelley, ID, Scott (Jennifer) Yost of Rigby, ID, Logan (Allie) Cooper of Idaho Falls, ID, and Dylan (Annie) Cooper of Hollywood, FL;  daughters: Tiffany (Josh) Roundy of Ammon, ID, and Alexa (Corey) Doolin of Logan, UT; sister, Elaine (Tory) Talbot of Irwin, ID; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Willis and Melba Yost; and his father-in-law, Dean Palmer.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 4843 North 5 ^th East, Idaho Falls. Burial will be at Ammon Cemetery.
