E. NaDeen Empey Howard, 82, of Ammon, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at her home. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health. She was born March 3, 1926, in the family home in Ammon, Idaho, to James S. Empey and Estella Lords Empey. She was raised and attended schools in Ammon. In 1943, she graduated from Ammon High School. On Nov. 3, 1943, she married Jesse Dean Howard in her parents home in Ammon. He passed away May 9, 1996. She spent most of her life in the Ammon-Idaho Falls area. She worked as an inspector for the State of Idaho Department of Agriculture. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping. She is survived by the following: sons: Rudy D. (Jewell) Howard of Boise, Michael (Debbie) Howard, Colin (Kandie) Howard, and Dorin Howard all of Idaho Falls; daughters: Judy Howard and Penny Andrus both of Idaho Falls; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 sisters, and a brother. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at the Ammon 10th Ward Chapel, 3934 E. 49th South, Ammon with Bishop David Hurst officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
