September 26, 1924 – June 5, 2009
He was born September 26, 1924, in three Rivers, Massachusetts to Azarias Arpin and Anna Landry Arpin.
On June 24, 1946, he married Marion Lois Vardner in Providence, Rhode Island.
He worked as a welder for Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. In 1964, he moved to Idaho Falls where he worked for the Idaho National Laboratory.
He was a member of the Catholic Church.
He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Without a lot of money, he made the childhood of his six children a wonderful experience.
He is survived by the following: spouse, Marion Arpin of Ammon; daughters: Sandra Arpin of Ammon and Deborah Arpin of Spokane, Washington; sons: Earl (June) Arpin Jr. of Boise; Alfred (Teresa) Arpin of Pocatello; and Michael (Vickie) Arpin of Idaho Falls; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and his son, Thomas.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary in Idaho Falls.
