Edith Nellie Ricks, 85, of Blackfoot, Idaho, died Friday, October 29, 2010, at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot. She was born January 26, 1925, in Fort Sill, Wyoming, to George Charles and Ova Bell Jack. She grew up in Roberts, Idaho. She married Herman Fluhearty and they were later divorced. She married Leonard Kenneth Ricks on June 21, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Leonard died September 10, 1995. Edith enjoyed watching western movies, and was a very good cook, especially homemade bread. She was a loving mother. She is survived by the following: son, Bruce Melone of Colorado; daughter, Shirley Perez of Idaho Falls; son, Roy Munson of Colorado; son, Jay Ricks of Idaho Falls; son, Clay (Tammy) Ricks of Smithfield, Utah; daughter, Penny Mortenson of Idaho Falls; son, Robert Ricks of Logan, Utah; brother, Tommy Jack of Chubbuck; brother, Joe Jack of Chubbuck; brother, Bud Jack of Caldwell, Idaho; brother, Everett Jack of Oregon; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren (one on the way), and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ricks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
