Edna Elaine Gray Flynn, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 30, 2019, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born in Iona, Idaho on April 21, 1932, to Duain Yates Gray and Elma Eudora Pearce, in her grandparent's home. She met Patrick James Flynn her Junior year of high school and they were married on January 15, 1950.  Together they had seven children in eight years.

Edna enjoyed going square dancing with her husband and they had their own group called the Flynnstone Spinners often hosting dances at their home. They enjoyed traveling to square dances and making friends with fellow dancers. Edna did not graduate from high school due to getting married at a young age, so she later returned to get her GED. Due to her experience with education, she strongly emphasized the importance of completing high school and attending college with her children.

Edna had a great sense of humor and was often joking around and loved to make other people laugh and smile. She had a tender heart and often tried to find ways to cheer others up. She enjoyed crocheting and in her older age liked reading books and doing word searches. Edna took great pride in all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured spending time with her family.

She is survived by five of her children: Patrick James Flynn II (Clara) of Boise, ID, Larry Michael Flynn (Julie) of Richland, WA, Paul Kelly Flynn of Bountiful, UT, Cindy Jean Woolf of Idaho Falls, ID, and Shaun Timothy Flynn (Katharyn) Gillette, WY; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick James Flynn; sisters: Lea Marie Gray, Joyce Cox; brother Jay Gray; daughters: Sherry Renak and Tammy Dalton.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Riverside Ward Building, 3370 North 5 ^th West, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment at Iona Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation Center, EIRMC E, and EIRMC 4 ^th floor nurses and staff for their compassionate care of our mom, sister, aunt, grandma, and great grandma.
