Edwin Deloy Daw, 85, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 31, 2022, in Idaho Falls, ID.
He was born August 26, 1936, in Basalt, ID, to Deloy and Ivy Daw. The oldest of seven children, he was raised in Osgood and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the U. S. Army for two years including time in Korea, followed by a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Southern States Mission.
Ed married his sweetheart, Karen Allred, October 28, 1960, in the Idaho Falls Temple.
He worked for Food Services of America for 35 years.
He loved golfing, card games, coins, snacks, treats, laughing, TV and resting. He loved being a grandpa, a friend, a sports spectator, and he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Daw of Ammon; his daughter, Tawna (Steve) Kroh of Mandan, ND; sons, Troy (Melanie) Daw of Meridian, ID, Trevar (Melanie) Daw of Kaysville, UT, Tyson (Becky) Daw of Tokyo, Japan, and Brandon (Raelynn) Daw of Idaho Falls; sisters, Naomi (Larry) Carter of Preston, ID, Connie (Jerry) Gibbons of Ammon, Denett (Danny) Jensen of Rigby; brother, Kim (Lynette) Daw of Blackfoot; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his daughter Treasa; parents, Deloy and Ivy Daw; brother, Steve Daw; and sister, Norma Albertson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Ammon 14 th Ward, 4363 E. 17 th Street, Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
