She was born March 3, 1914, in Pinckneyville, Illinois, to Louis Goldman and Etta May Guthrie Goldman. The family moved to the Idaho Falls area when Ella was 6 months old.
Ella went to school in Idaho Falls, Shelley, and graduated from Ammon High School in 1932.
On July 11, 1936, she married Blaine Christensen in Idaho Falls.
She loved to garden, crochet, and read.
On June 17, 1989, she became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Norma (Ken) Christensen Radford; siblings; Allene Sorman and Everett (Anna Dawn) Goldman both of Idaho Falls, and her grandchildren: Karen Nelson, Greg (Lachelle) Christensen, Sherri (Ryan) Webster all of Idaho Falls, and Terrel Christensen of Tremonton, UT. She was loved so much by her great-grandchildren. They are Andrea, Ryan, Lindsay, and Tanner Nelson; Justin, Rachelle, Marissa, and Brandon Christensen; Camille, Adam, and Andrew Christensen; and Max and Alex Webster.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine, and three children, Max, Jean, and a baby daughter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007, at Coltrin Funeral Home, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 7-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007, and for one hour prior to the services both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
