She was born June 17, 1921, in Vernal, Utah, to William Barlow and Avalena Preece Mott. She grew up and attended schools in Vernal.

She married Orville H. (Duke) Conaway on November 17, 1945, in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

She worked and retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company and later co-owned Best-Way Carpet Cleaners with her husband.

She enjoyed reading and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by the following: daughter, Garna J. (Hal) Barker, of Meridian, Idaho sister, Beth Jenkins, of Vernal, Utah 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jeffrey Lynn Conaway, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Stake Center, 1155 E. First St., with Bishop Philip D. Wheatley officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
