IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elsie
Williams
June 6, 1923 – March 26, 2017
Elsie Williams, born June 6, 1923, in Luton Beds, England, passed away at her Fairwinds-Sand Creek home Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the age of 93, she was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
She was the last remaining member of her immediate family in England as she lost her twin brother, Ted, and her sister, May, all in their 90's. Her four brothers (Sid, Bill, Fred, and Arthur) were killed in World War II.
Elsie was an avid bridge player and golfer, playing on her 87th birthday at Heise Golf Course and celebrating with pizza and beer. She frequented Sandcreek Golf Course early mornings off the back for a 'quick' 9 holes always walking away NEVER a cart and she was still winning the Fairwinds putting contest where the fellows told her they were making a new rule (NO girls allowed).
She shared her heritage with everyone in our family by taking each of us to England, sharing the most wonderful sights and her most vivid memories of living during the war.
She is survived by her two sons: Bob (Pam) and Tom (Julie), 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com .
