She married George Quinton March 10, 1946 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized later that year in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After raising their family, she worked for Slusser Wholesale for three years. She then worked for 17 years in the school lunch program for District #91.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held various positions over the years. She served as Relief Society President for five years, and in the Young Women's organization. In l987-8, she and her husband, George, served in Nauvoo, Illinois on a LDS mission.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, ceramic painting and many other crafts. She had a great sense of humor and was the best mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law in all the world. She was always available to help her friends and neighbors whenever needed.
Survivors include: her husband, George, Idaho Falls son, Larry T. (Dianne) Quinton, Kuna, Idaho son, Byron J. (Marge) Quinton, Waynesboro, Tennessee son, Brent G. (Robin) Kennewick, Washington son, Keith H., Quinton, Boise, Idaho sister, Verla (Merlin) Hill, Idaho Falls, Idaho sister, LuDean Newman, Pocatello, Idaho brother, Ronald Hill, Boise, Idaho 13 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at the Sage Lakes LDS Ward, 1200 Dunbar, with Bishop Tadd Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2006, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
