Obituary

Emma Francis Wisniewski Kanirie, 61, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away February 8, 2016, at Hospice Home in Ammon of cancer.

She was born June 24, 1954, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Frank Wisniewski and Olive McGee Wisniewski.

As a young girl, she moved with her family to Tomahawk, Wisconsin. She grew up in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1972. She moved to Montana as a young adult and in 1986, she moved to Idaho Falls where she resided until her death.

Emma was married to Jim Schultz from 1973-1981. On March 29, 1997, she married Bruce Wayne Kanirie in Idaho Falls.
She worked many years in the restaurant industry and then she worked as a school bus aid for Idaho Falls School District 91.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Emma was involved with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles for more than twenty years. She served as the local President and was a 3 time District President along with being a State President; she was responsible for earning large amounts of money for local charities while serving.

Emma loved doing a variety of crafts, taking care of her four-legged babies and loving people over-all. Everyone loved Emma's smile and laugh.

She is survived by the following: Husband, Bruce Kanirie, of Idaho Falls; sons: Matthew Schultz, of Idaho Falls, and Eric Schultz, of Pleasanton, Texas; daughter, Jessica West, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Tibbs Kanirie (step-son), of Tooele, Utah; a brother, Ed Parker, of Martin, Ohio; a sister, Olive Olson, of Hudson, Wisconsin; and 8 grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Jackie Marks and Jolanda Franco.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice Home, 1087 Curlew Dr., Ammon, Idaho 83406.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., February 20, 2016, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Ave., Idaho Falls. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
