Obituary

Emma Blanch Ripplemeier, 94, of Ammon, died December 26, 2013, at Safe Haven in Pocatello. She was born May 25, 1919 in Evansville, Indiana to Eugene Singleton and Edna Holtz Singleton. She grew up in Evansville and graduated from Central High School. She was married to Johan Green and Joe Allen before marrying George Ripplemeier. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Emma loved to play Bingo and also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and reading. She has a zest for life that made everyone around her feel good. She is survived by 2 daughters: Sue Kuhlmand of Florida and Mary (James) Redmond of Ammon, Idaho; a sister, Marion Butterfield of Arkansas; 6 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, George Ripplemeier in 1973, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. At her request, no services will be held. In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to any Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
