Estella Ruth Harvey Stallings died on March 2, 2010 at Country Pines Assisted Living Center at Clinton, Utah of incidences of age. A resident of southeastern Idaho for most of her life, Estella was born to William King Harvey and Emma Katie Yaggy Harvey in Hamer in 1922. She attended both elementary and high school in Hamer. After attending a home economics course at Idaho State University in Pocatello, she married Merlin Poole Stallings on August 16, 1941. She and her husband purchased a small farm and made their home at Hamer until they purchased a larger property and moved to Camas in 1950. In 1968 they moved to Idaho Falls where she continued to live until she moved to Utah to be near her daughter in 2006. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participated in church activities as a member of the Idaho Falls Fourth Ward. She served in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for over 20 years. Family and friends have been the recipients of quilts made by Estella's hands. In order to use all of her odds and ends, she made crocheted rugs for family, friends and Deseret Industries. She enjoyed raising vegetable and flower gardens. Estella is survived by her children; Barbara Stallings Harris of Centreville, VA., Karen Katie (Chuck) Raymond of Clinton, UT, and Doss Merlin (Jan) Stallings of Waipaha, HI, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
