Esther Warneke Roberts, 90, Idaho Falls resident, died September 21, 2012, in Ammon, Idaho of natural causes. She was born Mar. 6, l922, in Pierce, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Emma Carstens Warneke. She grew up in rural Nebraska. She married Dwight Nyles Roberts July 15, l950, in Carroll, Nebraska. They farmed there until 1963, worked at Care Centers in Pierce and Norfolk, Nebraska, and Roosevelt, Utah. They worked at Dale Electronics in Norfolk, Nebraska, owned two motels and cafes in Gainsville, Texas and Roosevelt, Utah. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Church since 1991. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, being a grandparent, and great-grandparent. She was a kind and loving woman. Survivors include a sister, Linda Zelmer, Norfolk, Nebraska; sister, Elaine Schwarting, Pierce, Nebraska; and a son, Leon (Terry) Roberts, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 7 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 half-sisters, a half-brother, and a brother.
