Obituary

Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ethel June Jeppsen Christopherson, 83, of Idaho Falls, died June 16, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

She was born to Ethel Mirriam North and Cleon Jeppsen in Brigham City, Utah on February 11, 1925.

On June 26th, 1943, she married Ernest William Christopherson in Donald, Oregon. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple for all time and eternity.

She was a staunch member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with full belief, commitment and testimony. June and Ernie served 2 full time missions, one in the Idaho Falls, Taylor Mountain Stake and the other in Payson, Utah Mountain View Stake.

Mom was completely devoted to her family; her husband, Ernie, being number one in her life. She is the mother of Sherry (Ted) Bohn of Idaho Falls; Connie (Max) Barnum of Payson, Utah; Neal (Pam) Christopherson of Hermiston, Oregon; Ron (Natalie) Christopherson of Ephrata, Washington; Wendy Works of Kalispell, Montana; and Greg (Jolene) Christopherson of Honolulu, Hawaii; the grandmother of 30, great-grandmother of 63, and foster mother to 5, whom she loved as her own.

She was a second mother to her 9 brothers and sisters. Mae Fleming, Beth Rains, Dick, Del, Danny, and Virgil Jeppsen preceded her in death. Three sisters, Ruth Winzler of Moses Lake, Washington; Colleen DuRette of Salem, Oregon; and Barbara (Darwin) Fergus of Dayton, Oregon, remain and will miss her dearly. She was their backbone and spiritual leader.

She was a woman who knew where she was going and how to get there. What a blessing to have her in our lives.

Among the places June and Ernie lived besides Idaho Falls, were Union and The Dalles, Oregon; and Mattawa, Washington. She had friends in dozens of places and she was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. "She had no enemies."

June loved flowers, gardening, sewing, and most of all music. Her pantry was full of products preserved from her gardening labors.

She held the needs of others above her own. Concerned for their physical and spiritual health, she often cut articles from the paper and sent them to the one in need. She never missed a birthday, sending her love in a card or letter. She loved to receive cards from friends and family and saved every one.

She always had a song in her heart and never ran out of hugs. Her sparkling blue eyes and smiling face are a lasting memory in our souls. She was always patient, kind, loving and serving others.

She is at peace living with her Savior, her sweet mother and other loved ones who have gone before her. We will miss you, your loving family.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at the Idaho Falls Eagle Rock LDS Stake Center, 2020 S. Charlotte Dr. with Bishop Anthony Passino. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Milo Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
