Obituary

Evelyn Adeline Gross, 93, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living. She was under the care of Encompass Hospice. She was born May 1, 1920, in San Francisco, California, to Charles Paul Grace and Cecil Irene Brockman Grace. She grew up in San Francisco. In 1937, she graduated from Balboa High School. On March 15, 1942, she married Raymond Phillip Gross in Reno, Nevada. He passed away in September, 1991. Evelyn was a bookkeeper/secretary by profession. She moved to Idaho Falls in 1999. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Evelyn and her husband, Raymond, owned E & R Miniatures, a business that built everything from one half inch to an inch per foot. They did shows up and down the West Coast. She was an avid reader and crocheted hats for babies in the hospital. She loved to travel and especially loved Yellowstone. She had a sweet disposition, was loyal, kind and loved her family dearly. Evelyn is survived by the following: Daughter: Diane (Tom) Palmer of Idaho Falls; Grandsons: William (Bonnie) King of Colorado, and Randy (Kalena Yim) King of Hawaii; Granddaughter, Ramona (Theodore) DeSmith of Florida; Great-granddaughters: Amanda King of Colorado, Tabatha King of Wyoming; Debra (Chris) Haskins of California; Shelby (Samuel) Battalia of Washington; Sierra Smith of Florida; Great-grandson, David Villagomez of Hawaii; Great-great-grandchildren: Ariana, Kadance, Grayson and Silas, and many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held at a later date in Hawaii. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.
