Florence Leora (Hebdon) Davis, 91, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2018, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, surrounded by her family. What a glorious Mother's Day for our Mom.

Florence was born in Taylor, Idaho on October 18, 1926 to Melvin J. Hebdon and Florence May (Egbert) Hebdon. They later moved to Idaho Falls to a home her father had built. That is where she and her 6 sisters were raised. Florence graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1944.

She met Earl Kay Davis in 1946 on a blind date. After a short courtship they were married on her birthday, October 18, 1946. They made their first home in Rexburg, Idaho. They subsequently moved to Twin Falls, Idaho and in 1954 they moved into their home in Ammon where they raised their 8 children and resided for the last 64 years.

Florence loved to sing and watch her children as they grew up. She was a staunch protector of her children. Her passion truly was her family.

She was a member of the LDS faith and held many different positions in the church through the years.

Florence is survived by her husband, E. Kay Davis; her sister, Bernetta Anderson (John); her 8 children: Steven Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Blaine Davis (Jackie) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Susan Carter (Don) of Roberts, Idaho, Kevin Davis (Debi) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Wendy Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mark Davis of Meridian, Idaho, Scott Davis of Grantsville, Utah, and Tim Davis of Rigby, Idaho; as well as 41 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Ramona Hansen, Barbara Wewers, Meldeane Whitmill, Peggy Ogle, Kathy Shepherd; one son, David Kay Davis, 2 grandsons: Zachary Davis and Uriah McIntyre; and 1 great grandson Simon Davis.

Mom will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered in our hearts forever. She truly was the best Mom ever.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018, and one hour prior to services both at the mortuary. Burial will be at Ammon Cemetery.
