IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Forrest Bybee
Larsen
May 30, 1923 – May 2, 2007
He was born May 30, 1923, in Lewiston, Utah, to Frederick James Larsen and Mary Jane Bybee Larsen. He attended school at North Cache in Richmond, Utah. For a short time following high school, he worked with his father on the family homestead. He later served with the Merchant Marines in Alaska.
In September of 1946, he married Mary Lou Maughan. They later divorced.
In 1951, he moved to Boise where he worked for Garrett Freight Lines and was self-employed in the transportation industry. He eventually began working for the Boise Cascade Corporation in the transportation department and in about 1986 he retired from there. His true love was farming and while working full time he continued to be involved with small farming operations in the Boise valley. Following retirement, he spent winters in Laughlin, Nevada, and summers in Idaho.
He enjoyed walking, running, riding his bike, boating, traveling in his R.V., and being actively involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Forrest was an honest and loving man, full of integrity, and will be sorely missed by his many friends and family.
He is survived by the following: son, Kelly (Mac) Larsen of Idaho Falls; son, Keith Larsen of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Bybee Larsen of Hyde Park, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard "Dick" Larsen; a sister, Ruth Jenkins; and a grandson, K. J. Larsen.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2007, at the Lewiston Cemetery, in Lewiston, Utah. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street in Idaho Falls.
