July 28, 1927 – June 22, 2007
He was born July 28, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Frank Thomas Bithell, Sr. and Belva Dean Allen. He grew up in Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls. He graduated early from Idaho Falls High School in order to join the Navy where he served in the Pacific on a destroyer. He attended Brigham Young University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Idaho State University.
On April 20, 1952, he married Joan Botero in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in l970.
He spent his entire career working for the INL as an accountant and a computer programmer. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He and his wife served an LDS mission to the Washington D.C. South Mission.
He enjoyed music, composing music, and writing. He was a life-long student of piano and violin, and an avid golfer and fly fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Joan, of Idaho Falls; 2 daughters, Rebecca (Rick) Daw, of Idaho Falls, and Brooke (Kevin) Scholz, of Springville, Utah; a brother, Keith Bithell, of Pocatello, Idaho; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Boyd Bithell.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Idaho Falls Twenty-First Ward Chapel, 1155 E. First Street with Craig Shull, First Counselor in the Bishopric, conducting. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary. Military rites will be presented by the Bonneville County Veteran's Team.
