On Saturday, December 16, 2017, Gavin Jay Arave, AKA, MYRT passed away at the age of 50 of congestive heart failure. He was born January 7, 1967, to Lynn and Gayla Arave.

As a child, Gavin loved going to his Grandpa Merlin's ranch where he enjoyed riding horses and fishing.

Gavin enjoyed listening to music and being with the people he loved. He had a passion for motorcycles and was always in absolute bliss when he was riding on the open road. He was always making jokes and we will miss his humor.

There are not words to describe the feeling of loss his loved ones have in their hearts, but we know he is at peace and free of the worries and struggles of this world. Gavin is loved forever and always.

Gavin married Glenda Jeffs November 17, 1991. Together they have two beautiful daughters: Neisha and Shaylee Arave. Though Gavin and Glenda divorced they stayed in each other's lives because of their girls.

Gavin is survived by his daughters: Neisha and Shaylee; his girlfriend, Michelle Hall; his parents, Lynn and Gayla; brothers: Gary (David), Gregg (Jackie); and his precious grandson, Strider Arave.

Our family would like to thank Avalon Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Gavin in his final days.
