Norma Gay Curbow, 79, of Idaho Falls joined her love ones in heaven during the early morning hours of Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the home of her daughter and son-in-laws after a courageous battle with cancer. Gay was born December 11, 1934 in Firth, Idaho, to Golda Mae and Orley B. Quinn. At a young age her family moved to Richmond, California. On August 14, 1953 she married the love of her life, Buddy Zack Curbow in Berkley, California. Together they raised four children, Dennis, Deborah, Darrell and James. They moved to Idaho in 1973. Gay was an accomplished Avon Representative for over 35 years. Upon retirement in 1997 she, along with her husband, Bud, wintered in Yuma, Arizona. Gay enjoyed crafts, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed watching her son and grandson race cars. She was their biggest fan. Gay was a member the LDS church. Gay is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Robert) Baird of Idaho Falls, Darrell (Linda) Curbow of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and James (Tammy) Curbow of Idaho Falls; Grandchildren Rebecca (Jonathan) Lundin and Steven Curbow, both of Tulsa, OK; and 2 great-grandchildren Jacob and Emma Lundin. Sisters, Dorothy Fielding of Nampa, Idaho, Beverly Howser of Pinole, California, and Wallace Quinn of Sandy, Oregon. Gay was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy, in 2007, and her first son, Dennis, in 2003; her mother and father and four brothers. What a joyous reunion she had with them. A special thanks the Hands of Hope Hospice staff who took such loving care of her. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, November 17 at Coltrin Mortuary and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will be at the Firth Cemetery.
