Gene F. Bagley, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, at his home. He had been under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. Gene was born on March 7, 1927, at Salem, Idaho, to Fred Bagley and Florence Luceal Peterson Bagley. He grew up and attended schools in Sugar City. On June 5, 1947, he married Ilene May Harris in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He started driving trucks when he was fifteen years old and continued until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his wife and family. Gene enjoyed his cabin at Palisades and fourteen winters in Quartzsite, Arizona. He enjoyed watching Jazz games with his daughter and granddaughter. Gene was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as a loyal friend. He is survived by his sweetheart, Ilene, of 63 years, of Idaho Falls; sons: Lynn (Debbie) Bagley of Omaha, Nebraska; Ronald (Tricia) Bagley of Layton, Utah; a daughter, Marie Cutler of Idaho Falls; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers: Layle Bagley of Rexburg and Marvin Bagley of Egin and a sister, Rita Crapo of Idaho Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters: Wanda Hunziker, Myrle Hilton and Venice Palmer; and a son-in-law, Wayne Cutler. At Gene's request, there will be no funeral services. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary of Idaho Falls.
