George "Butch" Wayne Kosman, 63, of Idaho Falls passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Pocatello. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. George was born June 26, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the first of three children to George and Irene Kosman. When George was 2 his family moved to California and there he attended schools and graduated from John A. Rowland High School. On April 26, 1969, he married Cheryl Marie Berger in Hacienda Heights, CA. In 1978, George and Cheryl, along with their two children, moved to Idaho Falls. George worked for many years at the receiving warehouse for INL. After leaving the INL he worked many years in the propane business in Jackson, Wy, and Idaho Falls, before deciding to go into business for himself with Helping Hand Services, a delivery and transporting service. In 2008, his wife Cheryl passed away. George was very fortunate to find love again with his friend and companion, Diane Nielsen. George enjoyed anything and everything about cars, whether it was watching a race to cars being sold on television. He also loved music. He loved being outdoors in the spring, summer and fall with his constant companion, Charlie, his faithful dog. He had a great sense of humor and tried to make everyone he came in contact with smile with a joke or saying. George was an amazing man who was always there to help someone when needed. He will be greatly missed by many. Survivors include his two children, Shannon Kosman-Rich of Idaho Falls and Cody (Kathleen) Kosman of Reno, Nevada; four grandchildren, Sammy and Jacob Rich of Idaho Falls, Peyton and Isabella Kosman of Reno, Nevada; his mother, Irene Gallagher of Kelso, Wa.; a brother, Michael Kosman of Kelso, Wa., a sister, Valerie Andrews of Grass Valley, Ca. and his friend and companion, Diane Nielsen of Idaho Falls. George is preceded in death by his son, Justin Kosman and his father, George E. Kosman. The family is planning a celebration of George's life to be held at a later date
