Our dear husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, George Franklin Moncur passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was born on December 31, 1934, to Harvey Bryant Moncur and Evlyn Wilson in Rupert, Idaho. He married Deon Baker of Oakley, Idaho on February 21, 1958, and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 16, 2014.

George grew up in Rupert, Idaho. At the age of 14, his dad had a heart attack and had to take time off, so George ran the farm. His payment was a 1938 Ford car. He loved the car and took good care of it.

At the age of 19, George joined the Army during the Korean War. Because of illness, he did not go to Korea with his outfit instead he was sent to Germany. He was honorably discharged on June 7, 1956. He was proud to be a veteran and carried his discharge paper all of his life. He returned to Rupert and worked for Rodney Hansen. George worked for Clark Concrete in 1957 and then Amcor for 36 years.

He loved snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, walking, and his 5 ^th wheel trailer. He loved to travel with a group called Couples and Company. He taught himself the computer.

George is survived by his wife, Deon; and his honorable sons: Jerry of Salt Lake City, Jim (Kimberly) of Pocatello, Lynn (Jan) of Salt Lake City; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Paula Shippen Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil; and grandson, Philip M. Christensen.

Viewing will be held, April 10, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Westhill LDS Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive. Burial will take place at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery following the services.
