Obituary

Georgia Clarice Mondy, 81, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at the Gables of Ammon. She was under the care of Creekside Home Health and Hospice.

She was born January 25, 1928, in Spokane, Washington, to Harold and Mina Ames Thielman. She grew up in Chester, Montana, and graduated from Chester High School.

She married William Albert "Bert" Mondy, the love of her life, on July 6, 1944, in Glata, Montana. Bert died September 1, 2002.

She wintered in Yuma, Arizona, for 15 years from 1986-2001, until Berts health forced them to be home for treatments. She lived in Chester, Montana, Riggins and Salmon, Idaho, and Star Valley, Wyoming. The highlight of her life was her trip to Europe in 2004, where she visited seven countries. She also visited Catalina Island and Mexico. She briefly worked at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

She was involved in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and was a den mother in the Cub Scouts.

She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, quilting, card playing, music and painting.

Georgia was a very organized homemaker that loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She was a very caring and wonderful friend, loving sister, and her family was her life. She thought of everyone else before herself.

The family would like to thank Creekside Home Health and Hospice and the Gables of Ammon for their loving care.

She is survived by the following: son, Dean Allen (Barbara) Mondy of Thayne, Wyoming son, Dennis Albert (Deana) Mondy of Idaho Falls daughter, Dale Anne of Nampa, Idaho son, Douglas Aldon (Kim) of Helena, Montana sister, Eloise (Charles) Morehead of Tenino, Washington brother, Gale (Ann) Thielman of Great Falls, Montana sister, Joanne (Wayne) Willman of Chinook, Montana brother, Terry (Trina) Thielman of Chester, Montana sister, Linda (Jim) Kathman of Great Falls, Montana 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert Mondy, her mother and father and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls with Madeleine Koeppen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009, before the service at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Creekside Home Health and Hospice, 3688 Washington Parkway, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83404.
