Gerald "Jerry" Don Harmor, 78, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He was born January 11, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to John Albert Harmor and Verna Ledford Harmor. He grew up in Oklahoma and California. On August 29, 1984, he married Lucille Nelson in Beaver, Utah. Besides Oklahoma City, he lived in Lywood and Bellflower, California. He worked in service stations doing maintenance work. In 1977, he completed a study in air conditioning and refrigeration at the Norwalk-LaMirada Adult School. After working in California for a short time, they moved to Idaho in 1979. He owned his own business, Jerry's Appliance Repair which he operated until his retirement in 1994. Jerry enjoyed rescuing animals, woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, and working in his yard. In his younger years while living in California, he played the guitar. Jerry loved helping others whether they asked for it or not. He is survived by the following: wife, Lucille Harmor of Idaho Falls;Daughter, Sandra Florence of LaMirada, California; Son, Rick Harmor of Cerritos, California; Brother, Bill Harmor of Mission Viejo, California; and a grandson, Brian Florence of LaMirada, California. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday November 8, 2012 at the Taylor Cemetery in Taylor, Idaho.
