Gerald "Jerry" Keith McClure, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 10, 2014, at The Gables of Ammon. He was under the care of Encompass Home Health and Hospice. Jerry was born on September 5, 1924, to Edgar and Fay Stevens, in Blue Hill, Nebraska. In 1942 he graduated from Inavale High School. Jerry served in the US Army during World War II. On June 20, 1952, he married J'Lene Moore in Idaho Falls, Idaho. On May 12, 1965, they united for eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. On June 3, 2004, J'Lene died. Jerry worked as a floor covering installer for 42 years. Jerry organized the first 4th of July breakfast in Iona for the Lions Club and he helped serve for many years after and was a life long member of the Iona Posse. Jerry loved horses, cutter racing, and was a VFW participant. He loved to cook, garden, and enjoyed watching his grandkids activities. He is preceeded in death by his beloved soul mate of 52 years J'Lene, Wayne (brother) and Nicole (granddaughter), and his parents. He is survived by his daughters; Marilyn Ulrich of Idaho Falls, Diana (Jim) Barnes of Klamath Falls, Oregon, his son, Lonnie (Mary) McClure of Kemmerer, Wyoming. Grandsons: Kirk (Angie) Andrus, Eric (Brandee) Andrus, Zachary McClure all of Idaho Falls, Aaron Barnes of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Adam (Brenda) Ulrich of Auburn, Washington. His granddaughter, Heather (Steve) Joachim of Klamath Falls, Oregon. And his brother, Gayle (Betty) McClure of Hastings, Nebraska. 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Iona Stake Center, 7555 North 55th East. The family will meet with friends on Thursday, August 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to services at the church.
