Glen Hampton, 57, of Swan Valley, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 10, 2021.  Glen was a kind, caring, selfless, and extraordinary man who touched the lives of everyone he met and every animal he met as well (even gained the beloved nickname 'Dr. Doolittle').

Dedicated his life to helping others including being elected as current Mayor in Swan Valley, Idaho where he utilized his talents and abilities to help the local community and countless animals.  His passions included keeping close tabs on the Pittsburgh Steelers football games, always staying in contact with his family and friends but most of all he adored his little girl and trusty partner, Ginger, a beautiful 9-year old yellow lab.

He is survived by his wife, Krista Hampton; son, Patrick (Jennifer) Hampton of Kittitas, WA; sisters: Gwen (Fred) Lenz of Mesa, AZ and Beth Cowles of Apache Junction, AZ; 2 grandchildren and one yellow lab named Ginger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 brother-in-law.

A Celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the American Legion Swan Valley, 157 Stoltenberg North, Swan Valley, ID 83449. A celebration of life for his Arizona friends and family will be held later with more details to follow. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
