Glen Dene Hansen, Sr., 56, of Idaho Falls, died Oct. 8, 2005, at his home.
He was born Feb. 5, 1949, in Auburn, Washington, the son of Glen W. and Ladene Decoria Hansen. He grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho, and graduated from Blackfoot High School in l967. He earned a Welding degree from Eastern Idaho Technical College.
He married Patricia Lord on Dec. 27, l976 in Jackson, Wyoming. They were divorced in l997.
During his life, he lived in Arco, Idaho for seven years while he worked for INEL as a welder. He lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for a year while he worked on the salmon fishing boats. He came to Idaho Falls in l983 where he worked for Adamson's Concrete Sawing & Drilling for eleven years and Eagle Rock Nursery for two years.
He enjoyed bowling, darts, pool, fishing, hunting, camping, collecting coins, reloading bullets, shooting, guns and bows. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Riders of America Association, the National Rifle Association, the United Fighting Arts Federation, and the Bowhunters Association. He was a beloved father, son, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: step-daughter, Jennifer Hall (Travis), Idaho Falls, ID son, Glen Hansen (Maci), Idaho Falls, ID daughter, Anna Seay (Lazaro), Idaho Falls, ID mother, LaDene Hansen (Wendell), Idaho Falls, ID six grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Craig B. Hansen; and two nephews, Craig and Alain Hansen.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wed., Oct. 12, 2005, at the Howe Cemetery in Howe, Idaho. The family will meet with friends from 10-11 a.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, before leaving for the cemetery.
