In 1957, they moved to Idaho Falls, where he continued his trade and became a partner in Dale and Omanson Ceramic Tile, Inc. Later he became the owner and president of Omanson Tile. Because of his work in the SunValley-Ketchum area, he and Betty moved to Hailey. In 2003, due to health reasons, he and Betty returned to Idaho Falls.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he had served as a Branch President and Elders Quorum President.
