IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glennale Marshall
Anderson
June 21, 1926 – May 27, 2006
She was born June 21, 1926 to Mamie Young Marshall and LeRoy Marshall in Price, Utah. She moved with her family to Osgood in 1935 where she lived until she married Ethan L. Anderson, her husband of 61 years whom she married on January 18, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Out of this union, she was blessed with two daughters, Kristine (Dave) Stanger of Idaho Falls and Kathleen Anderson of Twin Falls, Idaho.
She started first grade in Price and then attended schools at Osgood, Ammon, and Idaho Falls. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1944. She worked a variety of jobs over the years but her favorite time were those years she spent working for the City of Idaho Falls in the Planning and Zoning Department. After her retirement from the City, she and Ethan went to Ketchikan, Alaska. It was a very special time in her life as she loved the island and the many friends they made there. She and Ethan also ran the Bone Store for several years which was a very happy period for her except for the long hours. There both she and Ethan enjoyed visiting with the many snowmobilers in the winter and the fisherman and ranchers in the summers who always knew the store would be open. She loved people and the time spent visiting and socializing with them.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, son-in-law, brother, Dean (Ceola) Marshall, sister-in-law, LaDean (Norman) Marshall, sisters-in-law, Delaine (Gus) Clark, Von (Myron) Andrews, and Joann Anderson, many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much as well as her many dear friends. She had a very special place in her heart for her godson, Tyler Marshall. Since she had no grandchildren of her own, she always enjoyed the children of her nieces and nephews and friends. She was especially fond of Becky and Cameron Suitter who lived next door.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Gean Marshall, a brother, Norman Marshall, three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, one niece, one nephew, and one great-nephew.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2006, at the Ammon LDS 12th Ward Chapel, 2200 Stafford, Ammon, Idaho, with her nephew, Bishop Bob Marshall officiating. The family will visit with family and friends from 7- 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Coltrin Mortuary and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
