Obituary

Golden Ray Gallup, 57, of Idaho Falls, died August 4, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 25, 1950 in Idaho Falls to Golden Mendon Gallup and Alta Rose Smith. He grew up in Ririe and Rigby and attended Rigby High School.

On August 20, 2003, he married Carma Phylin Shepherd in Idaho Falls.

He lived in Rigby, Boise, Ririe, Washington, and Portland, Oregon where he worked as a truck driver.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was an artist and had very good penmanship; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports.

Golden was the love of his wife's life and will be unforgettable.

He is survived by his wife, Carma Gallup of Idaho Falls; step-son, Duke Simpson of Idaho Falls; father, Golden (Gay) Gallup of Ririe; 2 sisters: Pattie Kjar of Buffalo, Missouri, and Lori Rascon of Rigby; and 3 brothers: Kent Gallup of Ririe, Bobby (Pauline) Gallup of Rigby, and Rodney (Jill) Gallup of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by a son, Cory Ray Gallup; his mother, Alta Gallup; and a brother, Gary Gallup.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St, Idaho Falls.
